It is a historic day on Wearside as the Black Cats begin their first European campaign in 53 years against Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.
Head coaches Régis Le Bris and Leeroy Echteld held their pre-match press conferences on Wearside on Tuesday as the two clubs stepped up their preparations from the game, with both offering the latest team news from the respective camps.
Reinildo is available as his one-game suspension for the red card he was shown in the 2-0 Arsenal game only applies for Premier League fixtures, and so will come into force at Manchester City on Sunday. U21 players Timur Tutierov and Tom Proctor both trained with the senior squad on Tuesday, though may not be required for the matchday squad.
