Sunderland suffered a late defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.
The Black Cats thought they had snatched a point when Wilson Isidor scored to make it 3-3, but Tammy Abraham’s late goal secured the point for the hosts.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the day...
1. GK - Robin Roefs
Little he could do about any of the goals. Made some strong saves throughout the game, though was fortunate early on when he missed a corner and Onana headed off the bar. 6 | AFP via Getty Images
2. RB - Nordi Mukiele
Caused Villa problems at times with his aggressive positioning and competed typically well. Not quite at his best on the ball. 6 | Getty Images
3. CB - Luke O'Nien
Couldn’t do much about the first few goals but this was probably his toughest test yet against an exceptional Ollie Watkins. Struggled to contain him and got away with a few difficult moments. 5 | Getty Images
4. CB - Omar Alderete
Had a very solid game in the main, using the ball well and making some important defensive headers. Was brought off just after the hour mark and was hobbling, which might be a bit of a concern for Sunderland. 7 | Sunderland's Omar Alderete. Photo by Chris Fryatt.
