Here’s the latest speculation from around the Stadium of Light and the third tier in general:

- Zimbabwean full-back Ethan Kachosa has reportedly signed a professional deal with Sunderland. Kachosa, who was most recently on the books of Premier League side Leeds United, played for the Black Cats’ under-18 side in their win over Everton last weekend - grabbing a goal and assist in the clash (Soccer 24)

- The Black Cats have also taken West Brom winger Tyrese Dyce on trial, with the teenager featuring for the under-23 side against Stoke City on Monday afternoon (Sunderland Echo)

- League Two side Colchester United are keen on a move for Alan Judge, who has departed Ipswich Town after his contract expired (Colchester Gazette)

- Swindon Town midfielder Scott Twine says he could stay with the Robins after their drop into League Two – despite rumoured interest from the Championship and League One (Swindon Advertiser)

- Steve Evans has admitted that Gillingham will keep tabs on their returning loan players, such as Olly Lee, ahead of potential permanent moves (Kent Online)

- Ipswich remain in contract talks with Gwion Edwards, with the Tractor Boys keen to see the winger sign a new deal amid rumoured interest from Sunderland and Preston North End (East Anglian Daily Times)

- Jordan Rhodes is thought to be a man in demand as his contract at recently relegated Sheffield Wednesday comes to an end. Ipswich and Huddersfield Town have reportedly offered the striker three-year deals (Football Insider)

- Frank Nouble could be set to join Colchester after being one of several players released by Plymouth Argyle this week (Chelmsford Weekly News)
