As usual, though, there are plenty of Sunderland-related transfer headlines swirling around the web this morning – with some interesting talk from the Black Cats’ third-tier rivals too.

Here, we take a look at the latest from around League One:

Lewis Morgan signs new deal

Former Sunderland loanee Lewis Morgan has signed a new contract at David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami.

The new deal will see the former Celtic winger stay in America until 2023.

Speaking on Instagram, he said: “Delighted to extend my stay with @intermiamicf and La Familia! It’s a place that feels like home and I’m really excited for the season ahead and what we can build here.”

Morgan may soon be joined at Inter Miami by Sunderland youth striker Mitch Curry.

The 21-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and hasn’t played for the Black Cats since December.

According to Roker Report, Curry is set to join Phil Neville’s side and the move will be announced when the player is granted a Visa to play in the United States.

Curry joined the Black Cats from Middlesbrough at the start of this season and scored seven goals in 10 appearances for the under-23s side.

The striker also made his senior debut in League One when he came off the bench during December’s 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon at the Stadium of Light.

Rochdale to suffer transfer blow

Rochdale starlet Kwadwo Baah could still get a move to the Premier League this summer.

Football League World state that West Ham United are interested in holding talks with the teenager.

Baah had looked set for a move to Manchester City but that deal has reportedly collapsed, leaving the 18-year-old facing uncertainty heading into the summer.

The Hammers are now said to be amongst clubs that are keen to hold talks with Baah ahead of striking a deal to sign him in the summer.

Shaun Maloney eyeing Aberdeen job

Former Hull City, Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic and Celtic star Shaun Maloney is believed to be keen on the vacant Aberdeen job.

The Dons are in the hunt for a new manager to replace Derek McInnes, who was linked with the Sunderland job before the appointment of Simon Grayson.

However, the Daily Record states that Stephen Glass is the early frontrunner for the job despite interest from elsewhere.

Ipswich Town aren’t signing Josh Windass

Sheffield Wednesday forward Josh Windass will not be leaving the Yorkshire club to join Ipswich Town in the summer.

And Tractor Boys have not expressed an interest in a move despite reports suggesting otherwise.

That’s according to the Sheffield Star Windass will be going nowhere and Ipswich are not interested in signing him at the moment.
