The Black Cats are sweating on the fitness of Aiden McGeady who missed the Hull match with a foot injury.

It’s hoped the 35-year-old will play a part in the run-in, though, with just four games left to play in the regular League One season.

McGeady has been influential since his return to the Sunderland side, scoring four goals and registering an impressive 13 assists across all competitions.
