Charlton’s chances of Aiden McGeady deal fade
Any chance of Charlton Athletic agreeing a permanent deal for Aiden McGeady look to have faded – after the Addicks were placed under fresh financial controls.

Lee Bowyer wasn’t able to seal any deals in the early weeks of the window with the club under a contract embargo, and South London Press report that while the club can now offer contracts to players, they are capped at a fee of £1,300 per week.
That limit would likely fall well below McGeady’s expected salary.
