Power on Carlisle test
Midfielder Max Power is looking forward to playing at the Stadium of Light again after nearly six months away.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “It will be nice to get back at the Stadium of Light, especially for the new lads to get familiar with the surroundings.
“You ask any footballer, you can train as much as you like, but nothing can replicate a match situation.”
He continued: “Tomorrow, the plan is to play an hour, so it will be nice to get that longer stint in and I’ve always said pre-season is a good opportunity to create good habits.
“Carlisle will be a step up from Saturday’s game and that’s no disrespect to Gateshead."

Parkinson on Carlisle meeting
Black Cats boss Phil Parkinson also believes today’s match will be a step up for his side following Saturday’s win.
He told the club’s website: “We’re looking to improve the balance of our play to make us as threatening as possible.
“There have been some good elements to our play and some things we can get better at, but that’s what pre-season is all about.
“When we move the ball quickly, we’re a difficult team to handle.”
Parkinson also provided an injury update on Elliot Embleton who limped off during the first half at Gateshead.
“When he went down, I was thinking I hope that’s not his hamstring, but it’s not, it’s just a bit of tightness in his thigh,” Parkinson added.
“Elliot has been excellent in pre-season and we certainly weren’t going to risk him.”
