The 23-year-old has partnered-up with Juan Sartori to take a majority share in the Black Cats, with the deal understood to be at an advanced stage.

And France Football claim that if an agreement is struck, it will see Louis-Dreyfus purchase 59 per cent of the club from Stewart Donald.

Donald would then see his shareholding dilute to 15 per cent, while Sartori would retain his 20 per cent stake in the club.

Charlie Methven would also keep his six per cent share.

France Football claim that Louis-Dreyfus would spend €25million on purchasing his 59 per cent share, which translates to roughly £22million.

And his spending may not stop there, with reports that the 23-year-old and Sartori are keen to establish a ‘multi-club empire’ which would also incorporate clubs in Uruguay and France.
