'Sublime': Phil Smith's Sunderland player ratings after Seny Dieng's late equaliser for QPR
Sunderland were held to a dramatic 2-2 draw against QPR at the Stadium of Light – but how did each player fare for the Black Cats?
Alex Neil’s side took a two-goal lead in the first half courtesy of finishes from Ross Stewart and Ellis Simms.
The hosts looked like they would see the game out before Ilias Chair’s free-kick halved the deficit.
QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng then scored a late equaliser after coming up for a corner and heading the ball home.
Our chief SAFC writer Phil Smith has dished out his player ratings from the Stadium of Light:

9. Alex Pritchard - 8
Sublime yet again in the first half, drifting into pockets of space and constantly evading the QPR midfield. Less influential in the second as QPR saw more of the ball, but dug in throughout that period. 8

10. Ellis Simms - 7
Made quite the impact yet again. Took his goal well and was a constant threat through a superb first-half showing. Withdrawn not long into the second half as QPR took control of the game. 7

11. Ross Stewart - 7
Yet again led the line with real threat and dropped in to help his team. Took his goal well, and almost got a second late on. 7

12. Luke O’Nien (sub) - 7
More than justified his surprise introduction ahead of Wright when Ballard was injured. After a shaky start he stepped out with the ball and made some big defensive introductions. Very good. 7
