How both sides are shaping up

Sunderland sit 12th in the Premier League 2, Division 2, table after four matches and will be hoping to bounce back following last week’s 1-0 defeat at Birmingham.

Elliott Dickman’s side have won just one of their league games so far this season and will need to tighten things up at the back after conceding 11 goals so far.

Boro start the day in 8th place following two wins and two defeats from their first four league games, but did beat Stoke 2-0 last time out.

The Teessiders finished one point and one place below Sunderland last season as they missed out on a play-off place.
