Sky Sports presenter David Jones has been appointed as one of two new non-executive directors at Sunderland.

@Leech27Tom: Really positive this. More in that care deeply about the club is only a good thing. More of this please

@KirstenReed71: This is absolutely brilliant news! How fantastic to have David & Tom on board. Well done SD for this - really positive step & has put a big smile on my face this morning

@Jamestweddell: Some good news at last. Go on @DavidJonesSky

@andyfi5h: Positive news for a change

@adamguest: This is a good step in the right direction, but isn’t it Executive Directors we need?

@mikesmith145: Progress? At least it’s getting some momentum going and high profile at that. I’m taking this as good news for two reasons. Firstly there is no good news around and secondly got to hope they’re backing a strategy that we can get behind as there’s no sign of one of those either !!!

@anthceee: Dave Jones hasn’t been shy to offer his opinions on twitter so can only see this as a good thing. Plenty of contacts in the game too

@gnw626: One of our own that has to be a great thing.

@SuperkevFTM: Aside from my usual replies to SAFC tweets, this does look like a positive. Curious exactly what Dave Jones gonna do.

@Deanospamoni85: Get on the of the end of the Charlie wyke knock downs... your defence is terrified, Dave Jones' on fire and all that
