Sunderland managed to rescue a point in a 2-2 away draw against MK Dons on Saturday afternoon – and fans have been quick to react on social media.

Lee Johnson’s named six changes to the side that beat Dons in the Papa John’s Trophy in midweek, and his alterations looked to be vindicated when Charlie Wyke gave the Black Cats an early lead.

But a brace of first-half strikes from Joe Mason and Cameron Jerome then turned the game on its head, with the visitors going into the break 2-1 behind.

The Wearsiders were able to maintain their unbeaten away record this season thanks to a goal from Luke O’Nien, however, but the 26-year-old’s effort was not enough to stop Sunderland from slipping out of the League One play-off places.
