19’ Poor cross from Gooch
Once again Sunderland have struggled to deal with the opposition’s wing-backs, particularly on the right where Corbeanu has space.
Gooch managed to get forward for Sunderland there but his cross was overhit.
11’ Goal Sheffield Wednesday (Corbeanu)
He had so much space!
Kamberi’s pass from a central position found Corbeanu on the left.
It looked like Winchester should have been marking him, but the Wednesday man had time to curl a low shot into the far corner.
1-0.
9’ Wide from Kamberi
After trying to play out from the back, Wednesday went direct there.
Kamberi controlled a ball forward from the keeper and tried a shot from distance which was always going off target.
6’ A few loose passes
Sunderland have just given away a few loose passes in the early exchanges with Doyle and O’Nien conceding possession.
They did briefly threaten as Gooch cut out Johnson’s pass but Wednesday had men back to cover.
Moments later, O’Nien had a shot from the edge of the box which went over the bar.
