Salford City hope this Will Grigg wages offer will help them land Sunderland striker on loan
Salford City are reported to be offering £5,000 a week towards Will Grigg’s wages in a bid to land him on loan this month.
The Sunderland forward was not included in the matchday squad for the 1-0 win at MK Dons and hasn’t played a minute of the last six Sunderland games.
The striker could leave this month in a bid to play first team football with League Two sides Salford City and Swindon Town keen on the forward.
Sunderland are unlikely to loan him out to a League One rival.
The Sun claim Salford have made the offer towards his weekly wages.
Meanwhile, former Sunderland boss Jack Ross has again been linked with a January move for Marc McNulty on loan.
Both Sunderland and Reading would have to agree to end his season-long loan early if he was to move to Hibernian.
Sunderland have been credited with an interest in versatile 21-year-old Bolton Wanderers defender Harry Brockbank.
