The world governing body have recommended that all contracts set to expire on June 30 be automatically extended until the 2019/20 season finishes.
But what does that mean for Sunderland? Here, we take a look at the players set to be handed an automatic extension to their current deals under these new plans:
1. Jon McLaughlin

2. Joel Lynch

3. Alim Ozturk

4. Tom Flanagan
