Chris Maguire’s late penalty earned the Black Cats a deserved point, after they were left aggrieved a spot-kick awarded to Fleetwood in the first half; dispatched by Ched Evans.
But who shone and struggled in the North West? Scroll down and click through the pages to see how Phil Smith rated the individual displays on show at Fleetwood in our player ratings:
1. Joel Lynch
Made an outstanding tackle to deny Evans as he burst through on goal with the score 1-0 to Fleetwood. One or two uncertain moments and could perhaps have done more in possession. 6 | JPIMedia Photo: COPYRIGHT (C) FRANK REID 20187
2. Denver Hume
Again a real attacking threat, driving forward at every opportunity. Final ball not quite where it has been in recent games but a lively showing all the same. 6 | JPIMedia Photo: COPYRIGHT (C) FRANK REID 20187
3. Luke O'Nien
Missed a glorious chance early in the second half, unmarked in the box as he met a cross from Gooch. Would have expected to hit the target at the very least. 5 | JPIMedia Photo: FRANK REID
4. Max Power
Couldn’t create a great deal in possession but made a couple of important defensive interventions. 5 | JPIMedia Photo: COPYRIGHT (C) FRANK REID 20187
