It is fair to say that this has been the trickiest team selection Régis Le Bris has faced so far this season.
Sunderland travel to an in-form Millwall side with a lengthy list of absentees due to both injury and suspension. Whichever way he goes, he will have to field new partnerships in key areas of the pitch, and hand starts to players with limited minutes of late. Here’s how we think he might go...

1. GK - Anthony Patterson

2. RB - Trai Hume
One of Sunderland's most consistent performers and will likely continue at right back here. Is in good form with a goal and and three assists in his last four games. | Frank Reid

3. CB - Dan Ballard
Excellent against Luton and while Leeds will offer a totally different kind of attacking threat, you'd expect Ballard to continue. Photo: Ian Hodgson/PA Wire

4. CB - Luke O'Nien
O'Nien continues to be a dependable performer in the heart of defence and its hard to imagine Le Bris not picking up for such an important game. His distribution from the back is key. | Frank Reid
