Radical plans to conclude League One and Two promotion battle IF season doesn't restart
The 2019-20 football season has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus crisis with Premier League and EFL bosses working on plans of how to conclude the current campaign, when safe to do so.
Fresh reports claim one idea put forward was a mini-tournament in the third and fourth tier.

"The idea, one of three plans presently under consideration, was suggested during a meeting of club captains and the League on Friday.
"The EFL's preference remains to finish the season by playing all remaining games over a 56-day period but contingency plans are being discussed in case that plan has to be discarded due to the coronavirus pandemic."
The EFL, in a statement on Saturday, have confirmed that their desire to conclude the 2019/20 season remains ‘unchanged’ – and have backed-up claims that new financial measures could be imposed following the coronavirus outbreak.
