Sunderland crashed out the FA Cup at the first hurdle after defeat to League Two side Mansfield Town – but how did their players perform?
George Lapslie’s second half header saw the Black Cats knocked out at the first round stage for the second year running as the fourth tier side claimed their first win of the season.
So did any players emerge with credit from the clash?

9. Chris Maguire
Set-piece delivery was mixed and had very little influence from open play in a contest that you would have expected him to dictate from the off. Looked off the pace and unsurprisingly replaced midway through the second half. 4 Photo: Frank Reid
An excellent early touch nearly produced an assist for Graham, but was an increasingly peripheral figure as the game progressed. Barely registered an effort on goal. 5 Photo: Frank Reid
Was unfortunate to hit the post with his first effort of the game, an instinctive first-time effort that left the goalkeeper helpless. The second effort was a gilt-edged opening that he had to score, turning a cross onto the bar from two yards out at most.
