Kicked from pillar to post but stood up to the challenge was rarely found wanting. A big improvement from performances last week. 7
Got the job done. Fortunate with a couple of challenges but made some big headers later on and crucially, never took any risks in possession. 6
An impressive return to the starting XI. Had the measure of the threatening John Marquis, kept it simple and played his part in the second goal with a great leap. 7
Such was his dominance over talented winger Mallik Wilks, the Leeds loanee was moved to the opposite flank at half time. Also offered a constant threat on the break in what was an impressive showing. 8
Underlined his importance to the side with a typically tenacious midfield performance. Won countless second balls and made good decisions on the ball. 7
It was a goalkeeper error that let Sunderland in for their second but Powers good ball was key. Controlled but combative throughout. 7

Excellent in the first half, seemingly everywhere as he fed of Wykes constant knockdowns. Seemed to tire in the second half and made some disappointing passes but kept his discipline defensively. 6
Showed the finishing ability that made his name in Scotland. A brilliant effort and his dribbling was a constant menace throughout the first half. 7
Given his lack of training it was a superb effort to even get out on the pitch. Tireless in his running and plenty of quality, too. 8
His form has to now be considered a complete transformation. Won everything in the air, bullied the Doncaster defence, hauled his side up the pitch and got on the scoresheet. Exceptional. 9
A couple of poor decisions in possession but defensive energy and positioning was good. 6
Movement was good and showed some good touches on the ball to help his side see the game out with relative ease. 6
Brought on with just minutes to play and showed his experience. N/A
