The Black Cats had Charlie Wyke to thank again for his goal-scoring exploits, with the forward grabbing his 14th of the season thanks to an impressive headed effort in the first-half.

Lee Johnson’s men failed to kick on after the interval, but still had enough left in the tank to hold on for the three points, and to move themselves up to seventh in the table.
