Middlesbrough fans show support for Sunderland captain Grant Leadbitter with this classy gesture
Phil Parkinson confirmed earlier this month that Leadbitter would take a ‘few weeks’ away from the Academy of Light due to ‘personal reasons’.
Fans of both the Black Cats and Born were quick to send their well wishes to the 34-year-old – with Middlesbrough supporters now showing their backing of the midfielder in a fantastic way.

They read: “Tough times don’t last. We’re with you Grant.”
Supporters also chanted: “He's magic you know, just watch Leadbitter go."
The popular midfielder spent seven years at the Riverside Stadium before returning to his boyhood club, Sunderland, last January.
He has racked-up almost 150 appearances at the Stadium of Light during his illustrious career.
