Promising Sunderland striker Lee Connelly has joined Alloa Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old forward, who had a short loan spell at South Shields in the early part of this season, has linked up with the Scottish Championship side.
Club officials hope it will ‘further his development in senior football.’
He has made two senior appearances for Sunderland this season, against Grimsby in the EFL Trophy and Gillingham in the FA Cup.
