Stewart Donald reveals his latest Sunderland fan engagement plans
Stewart Donald is set to join Sunderland fans on the road to Lincoln City – having revealed he is set to board a supporters’ coach for the trip to Sincil Bank.
The Black Cats’ owner joined supporters in the away end at Spotland on Tuesday evening, as Jack Ross’ side claimed a 2-1 victory over Rochdale.
And Donald has now revealed that he plans to join the South Shields branch of the club’s supporters group on their coach to Lincoln City on October 5.
This will be the latest step the Sunderland chief has taken to engage with fans, who have struggled to connect with previous regimes at the club.
But while admitting he was ‘not the best’ on coaches, Donald hinted that it may not be the last time he joins supporters in such a capacity.
He tweeted: “I am travelling with South Shields branch to Lincoln if that goes ok then I may do another one.”
