There has been contact with the two clubs, with further talks planned.

Hide AdAnd Parkinson has strongly hinted the lure of a return north of the border will prove too strong for Potter and the Sunderland boss says he would leave with his best wishes if he does depart.
Parkinson said: “There has been contact between the two clubs.
I get on really well with John.
“We are having further talks about that this afternoon.
“The possibility is that the lure of going back home to Scotland will be one that John will take and if he does then we will wish him all the best.”
