De Bock was a deadline day addition for the Black Cats last summer, after Bryan Oviedo and Reece James left the club.

He cut short his loan from Leeds United at the start of the month, however, with Phil Parkinson saying that the left-back wanted to move closer to his native Belgium for personal reasons.

He joins on a loan with an option to buy and will be managed by former Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew.

De Bock says he will try and play his part in their bid to avoid relegation, the Dutch side currently three points adrift of safety.

“The team has had a difficult first half of the season, but we are going to do everything we can to stay convincingly in the Eredivisie,” he said.

De Bock made ten appearances in all competitions for the Black Cats.
