Parkinson said: “Jordan Willis is back available after missing the Blackpool game.

George Dobson is the only one who won't be able to play due to his red card last time out.

“Everyone is available bar George who picked up the red card, we have had bits and pieces and one or two with illness at times but in the main, we have had a clear week.”

In other news after being told that he has no future at the club, winger Aiden McGeady has been attracting interest ahead of the January transfer window.

“There’s one or two clubs from abroad have contacted the hierarchy at the club,” Parkinson said.

“There’s nothing absolutely concrete but I’m sure that in a situation like this, quite often the player’s agent will be working on several situations. That’s why it was important to give Aiden enough time to try and sort that out.”

Elsewhere in League One, Sunderland’s rivals Peterborough United are preparing to make a bid for Cheltenham Town midfielder Ryan Broom in the upcoming transfer window.

Posh’s Marcus Maddison, the stylish Sunderland-born winger once of Newcastle United, continues to be linked with a move to the Championship with Derby County and West Brom eyeing a move. The attacker has a £2.5m release clause in his contract.
