Sunderland continued their Premier League campaign against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Régis Le Bris’ side headed to West London looking to build on their first victory of the season against Fulham, with deadline-day signing Kevin Danso handed his debut.
Here is how James Copley rated the Sunderland players following the final whistle.

9. Nilson Angulo
Produced possibly his best 45 minutes in a Sunderland shirt during a lively first-half display on the left. Carried the ball with energy and combined well with those around him, though his final product still needs some work. Replaced by Wilson Isidor after 64 minutes. 7 | Getty Images

10. Enzo Le Fee
Hit the post with a stunning first-half strike and was always tidy in possession. Continued trying to drive Sunderland forward when that became much tougher after the break. Dispatched his penalty with aplomb, showing real courage after what happened against Kelleher last season. 8 | Getty Images

11. Brian Brobbey
Made a nuisance of himself during the first half without managing to carve out a clear opening. Held the ball up well after the break and looked brighter once Isidor joined him in attack. 6 | Getty Images

12. Wilson Isidor
Looked sharp from the moment he was introduced and brought real directness to Sunderland’s attack. Tested Kelleher with a powerful free-kick before winning the penalty from which Le Fée equalised. A brilliant cameo. 8 | Getty Images
