Is this Sunderland's strongest starting XI for Tony Mowbray to choose following ten summer signings?
Sunderland have completed ten signings this summer - but who makes it into their strongest starting XI?
Daniel Ballard, Jewison Bennette, Abdoullah Ba, Leon Dajaku, Aji Alese, Jack Clarke, Alex Bass, Amad Diallo, Edouard Michut and Ellis Simms have all signed for the Black Cats since the end of last season.

5. RWB: Lynden Gooch

6. CM: Corry Evans
Sunderland still appear a little short of options in the holding midfield role. Evans looks set to be a key player under Mowbray after the pair worked together at Blackburn. Photo: Frank Reid

7. CM: Dan Neil

8. LWB: Jack Clarke -
A goal and two assists against Rotherham showed how important Clarke has become to this side. The 21-year-old has also improved the defensive side of his game to play in a left wing-back role. Photo: Martin Swinney
