Lee Burge replaces Remy Matthews between the sticks, while Grant Leadbitter returns in the centre of midfield.

Elsewhere, Aiden McGeady and Charlie Wyke come back into the XI, with Adrien O’Brien and Elliot Embleton both retaining their spots after impressive displays on Tuesday. Jack Diamond drops to the bench despite a number of lively outings in recent weeks.

@Philip_RJ89 tweeted: “This is a peculiar selection. Wyke back, no Gooch (injury?) and Winchester only on the bench. Not the starting eleven I would’ve expected, but having Jack Diamond on the bench to run at a tiring Wimbledon defence should be a bonus.”

@DavidHindmarsh7 tweeted: “Amazed he’s dropped Sanderson & Diamond”.

@newtsfever tweeted: “Happy to see Embleton in there. Curious as to where Gooch is, hope it’s not another injury. Massive lack of pace when you take Diamond out of it.”
