Sunderland are back in action at the Stadium of Light against Plymouth Argyle in League One today.

The Black Cats face Plymouth Argyle at the Stadium of Light today after beating Morecambe 5-0 on Tuesday.

A Sunderland corner comes to nothing as Cooper collects it. The home side come close again as Broadhead has a shot saved!

Another couple of chances for Sunderland. Pritchard looked to be in but was tackled in the box. Lots of space for Sunderland to exploit at the moment as Plymouth push higher up the pitch. Sunderland look dangerous on the counter.

Plymouth enjoying a spell with the ball. Sunderland look content just to sit in until half-time. The home side still lead 2-0

Gooch crosses but it doesn’t find Dajaku who was lurking in the box. Cooper collects it and Plymouth look to get the ball up the field. To no avail though as it goes straight out for a Sunderland goal-kick.

Coming up to half-time and Sunderland are managing the game well. Plymouth haven’t really threatened but the Black Cats have been slightly sloppy in possession the last five minutes or so.

Half-time at the Stadium of Light and Sunderland are 2-0 up after goals from Neil and Broadhead in the first 15 minutes of the game.

The league table as it stands.

Back underway at the SoL. Embleton replaces Gooch at half-time as Plymouth win an early corner.
