The Black Cats make just one change from the side that drew at Doncaster, with Danny Graham earning something of a surprise recall.

He starts in place of the injured Lynden Gooch, with Sunderland otherwise unchanged.

@davis0688 said: “We struggle to create chances. Our most creative player is out injured. So what does Parky do to replace him? Hoy another striker in. Nothing to get the ball to the striker. Baffling.”

@JHerra18 posted: “Hopefully get proved wrong but hate us playing two up front. They never offer anything and we end up playing with nine men”

@ElliottSAFC added: “Well it may not be Power but again Parky ignoring youth when there is a perfect opportunity to give Embleton or Diamond a chance tonight in Goochs absence.”

@Hag_SAFC posted: “Shocking that Graham is keeping Diamond out of the team. And what a great decision it was to bring O’Brien to the club, but at least Diamond is (rightly) getting a place ahead of him. Sadly same old same old.”

@Phillip_RJ89 commented: “Wyke & Graham starting. This is about as bad as it gets. Slow, stodgy, predictable. I cannot get my head around what Phil Parkinson is thinking here.”
