Sunderland have held talks at the Academy of Light with free agent ex-Birmingham and Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty.
The 32-year-old is a free agent and Sunderland are looking to bolster their striking options as part of a January re-build. Black Cats fans were split when the news broke, with many believing Lafferty isn’t what Phil Parkinson needs. Some, however, are keen for the Northern Ireland international to join.
