'He'll be a super star!': Sunderland fans hail Leeds and Newcastle-linked youngster after pre-season display

Sunderland fans have hailed the performance of youngster Dan Neil – after he impressed off the bench in the Black Cats’ win over Carlisle United.

The teenager played the final half an hour of the clash at the Stadium of Light and was unlucky not to find himself on the scoresheet.

And Sunderland fans have backed the midfielder- who has been linked with Leeds United and Newcastle – to make a mark on the first-team squad.

The score doesn't really reflect the match too much as I though we were quite poor until the subs came on. Once the changes were made we looked much better and controlled the game”
