Thomas is set to leave Wimbledon on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

Competition for Chelsea goalkeeper

Sunderland will also be looking to strengthen in the goalkeeping department ahead of next season.

Lee Burge remains on Wearside but Remi Matthews was not offered a new deal, meaning the Black Cats are short of options between the sticks.

Sunderland have been linked with Chelsea keeper Nathan Baxter, while Hull have also been credited with interest.

According to BBC journalist Matt Dean, the Tigers are keen on a loan move for Baker, 22, who spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.

Cats keeping tabs on Aberdeen prospect

Finally, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers are reportedly in the hunt to sign teenage midfielder Ethan Ross from Aberdeen.

Football Insider report that Ross has been offered a new contract by the Scottish Premiership club that he has not accepted.

They claim that could open the door for potential admirers, with the Black Cats keeping close tabs on the situation.
