'Good enough for the Championship!': Sunderland fans hail Jordan Jones swoop as Lee Johnson closes-in on target

Reports have suggested that Jones, who came through the ranks at Middlesbrough, is close to singing a loan deal which would see him head to the Stadium of Light for the remainder of the campaign.

And fans are delighted with the transfer breakthrough, which would see Jones become the club’s signing of the winter window.

With pace to burn and bags of trickery, Jones is the kind of player the Wearsiders have been lacking this term and supporters have been quick to point to some of his key qualities when discussing the signing on social media.
