Hide AdLee Burge was named in goal, having kept 18 clean sheets across the campaign thus far. Only Blackpool's Chris Maxwell has kept more, passing the 28-year-old as a result of the 1-0 win at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday night.
Luke O'Nien was named at right back, after a superb campaign in which he has often been forced to deputise in a number of different positions.
Aiden McGeady was the fourth Black Cat to be recognised, perhaps the most notable given that he did not play a league game until Lee Johnson's arrival in December.
McGeady has registered a remarkable 14 assists in just 27 games.
Hull City's Grant McCann was named manager of the season.
