Along with other supporters’ groups, RAWA were set to meet with club officials last month for a scheduled structured dialogue meeting.

But that meeting was postponed owing to the ‘advancement and sensitivity’ of takeover talks at the Stadium of Light.

It was later revealed that Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori were in advanced talks over a deal to purchase a majority shareholding in Sunderland.

Sunderland supporters group call for takeover updated as uncertainty continues

The club are yet to publicly comment on the ongoing takeover talks.

But in a brief statement posted on social media on Friday evening, RAWA have called for clarity over the ongoing uncertainty over the club’s ownership.

They said: “We've again chased SAFC for an official update on the potential takeover & to rearrange the postponed meeting.

“We've provided the "breathing space" so fans can't be accused of having a negative impact on a potential takeover.

“But with rumours abound, fans really need clarity now.”
