Appeals for a handball in Sunderland’s box but nothing is given. Oldham on the attack here for the first time but it comes to nothing as a hard shot is blocked by Embleton on the edge of the box

Embleton cuts in from the right and has a left-footed shot blocked. Sunderland were rapid on the counter there. Kimpioka is playing up front with Will Harris as Lee Johnson’s men look to pin Oldham back

Oldham are finding some space and Sunderland aren’t having it all their own way.

Dajaku and Kimpioka can’t seem to get on the same wavelength with the German a bit annoyed at the youngster’s lack of intelligent running. Kimpioka, as always, is running around... a lot!

Harris sends Kimpioka through with a lovely ball, he has the pace and sits his defender down before smashing the chance against the side netting with only the keeper to beat. Should have scored.
