Expected to return to the side against promotion hopefuls Swindon Town, Robson was surprisingly left on the bench - only to be brought on at half-time with Grimsby 2-0 down.

He couldn’t engineer a turnaround in fortunes for the side, though, who conceded once more to seal a 3-0 defeat.

JACK BALDWIN (SALFORD CITY)Baldwin remains sidelined with injury, and missed Salford’s trip to Colchester United.

In his absence, the Ammies put in another committed display - but wound up on the end of a 1-0 defeat.

Baldwin’s comeback date remains unclear.

JORDAN HUNTER (SOUTH SHIELDS)Having made the right-back spot his own, Hunter was again in from the start as the Mariners welcomed title rivals Warrington Town to the North East.

And the sides - who currently sit 1st and 3rd respectively in the Bet Victor Northern Premier League - played out a 1-1 draw at Mariners Park with Hunter putting in another fine display.

JAKE HACKETT (WHITBY TOWN)Hackett was handed another start as Whitby looked to transform their mixed form of late against Stalybridge Celtic.

There was to be no joy, however, with the side falling to a 2-1 defeat.

Sunderland youngster Hackett played the full 90 minutes, alongside former Black Cat Adam Bale who joined the club on loan from Hartlepool United earlier this week.

JACK DIAMOND (HARROGATE TOWN)

While he has started in recent weeks, Diamond was dropped to the bench as Harrogate welcomed Torquay in the National League.

The young forward would feature off the bench for the final 10 minutes though, as he helped Simon Weaver’s side seal a 2-1 win - with ex-Black Cat Jon Stead netting the decisive goal.
