Sunderland were held to a goalless draw against Bristol City at the Stadium of Light – but how did each player fare for Mike Dodds’ side?
The hosts created the better chances in the first half as opposing goalkeeper Max O’Leary made some impressive saves. Substitute Bradley Dack then went close after the interval when he headed Trai Hume’s cross against the crossbar.
Here’s how Phil Smith rated the Sunderland players at the Stadium of Light:

13. Patrick Roberts (sub) - 6
Looked much more like himself in a bright cameo from the bench. Held the ball much better. 6 Photo: Frank Reid

14. Aji Alese (sub) - 7
Brought some real energy to the team and won some challenges comfortably. A big positive to see him back out on the pitch. 7 Photo: Frank Reid
