'Embarrassing' '£500k is ridiculous!' - Fed-up Sunderland fans react as Norwich City close in on Bali Mumba
Sunderland fans have reacted strongly to two pieces of transfer news this afternoon, with Norwich City closing in on a £500,000 deal for Bali Mumba while striker Kyle Lafferty has left the club after his short-term deal expired.
As we exclusively revealed earlier, Norwich are in talks over a shock swoop for Mumba.
The two clubs have been in talks for a number of weeks over a potential deal, likely to comprise an initial fee and performance related add-ons.
On Twitter, Glen Proctor posted: "Should be in the first team, never looked out of place and always looked comfortable. We can not afford to keep losing our talented young prospects for nominal fees."

@Zulgazji posted: "Sad to see him go. Potential there for some games in lg1 imo. #safc"
David Mason added: "Much more bothered by this than Kimpioka going."
Andy Wann tweeted: "£500,000 is ridiculous!!! Better be a sell on fee involved for a future transfer!!"
@daveboneherron tweeted: "Not good enough for Sunderland but good enough for Norwich??"
And Glen Turnbull simply said: "Embarrassing."
On our SAFC Facebook page, Becka Lesca posted: "We’d be absolutely stupid to let another fantastic young player go. He’s never once looked out of place on the pitch no matter where he has been played!"
Darren Fish added: "500k what a joke. Hope it has an 80% sell on."
On Twitter, Peter Hewett posted: "Better than Wyke & Grigg. Brilliant..."
Keith Blanchard tweeted: "He’s past his sell by date."
Alex added: "There goes our only good striker."
Black Cat Yank added: "Shame, thought he was the only striker that looked dangerous in and around the goal. Nothing personal but I've seen nothing from Wyke that tells me he can lead the line and score regularly."
On our SAFC WhatsApp service, one fan wrote: "Here we go we'll have no one left by end of month."
