Phil Parkinson targets two more signings
Good morning and welcome to deadline day! Sunderland hope to conclude a couple more deals today ahead of the 11pm deadline with a new left-wing back as cover for Denver Hume a priority.
Parkinson also hopes to add an attacking midfielder, while a new forward will be on the cards should Will Grigg or Marc McNulty depart.
Bobby Duncan is among the players linked with a move to the Stadium of Light
The Athletic claim Sunderland are 'set to sign' former Liverpool youngster Bobby Duncan on loan from Fiorentina for the rest of the season.
They report: "The 18-year-old striker has been keen to return to England in search of regular game time after a frustrating spell in Italy.
"Duncan, who is the cousin of Ranger boss Steven Gerrard, has only played under-19s football for Fiorentina since completing a £1.8 million move from Liverpool last summer and has been unable to force his way into the Serie A outfit's senior squad."
Will Phil Parkinson manage to get the deals he wants done?
Marc McNulty is in demand with Hibs circling
Hibernian are pushing hard to sign Sunderland loanee Marc McNulty before tonight's deadline.
The Reading striker is on loan at the Stadium of Light and it would need the agreement of both clubs to cancel the loan arrangement.
DONE DEAL: Aiden McGeady joins Charlton Athletic on loan until the end of the season
Aiden McGeady has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.
The deal was announced in the early hours of deadline day, McGeady having travelled to Charlton to complete his medical and sign terms on his loan move late on Thursday evening.
McGeady, who still has 18-months left on his Sunderland deal, has no future at Sunderland under Phil Parkinson after it was made clear he could leave the club in December.

Sunderland looking to sign a left-back today
The Bolton News report: "Strong suggestion that Luca Connell is on his way on loan to Sunderland today. Reunited with Phil Parkinson."
Phil Smith on those Luca Connell reports
Phil said: "Luca Connell is a player Phil Parkinson likes a lot and has a big future in the game.
So it's inevitable that Sunderland will be monitoring any developments on his future.
But Neil Lennon has suggested that any club taking him would be on loan, and I don't think that suits either Sunderland or the player.
They certainly weren't working on that as of late last night.
See what today brings..."
Sunderland won't be signing Bobby Duncan on loan today, as far as we understand
There was a lot of talk about Bobby Duncan heading to Wearside yesterday before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight. As Phil Smith alluded to on Twitter last night, however, there weren't many positive noises at the SAFC end about any possible deal.
And The Athletic are also now reporting that the loan move for the ex-Liverpool Fiorentina striker won't happen.
