64’ Penalty appeal turned down

The home fans were appealing for a penalty as Kashket went down under Neil’s challenge. It would have been soft.

Moments later, Gomes fired a shot over from inside the area.

60’ Double change for Crewe

Pritchard has also made way with what looks like an injury. Dajaku takes his place.

Goal number nine for the season for the Loch Ness Drogba.

This one came from a corner as Pritchard’s in-swinging delivery was flicked on by Doyle and Stewart found space at the back post to convert.

3-0.

Now the Sunderland right-back is booked for a foul on Bennett, who has been Crewe’s brightest player.

From the following free-kick, Flanagan heads away Robertson’s cross.

Cirkin was also booked moments earlier.

49’ Winchester effort saved

It’s been a slow start to the second half but Winchester decided to try his luck there.

After making another fine interception on the edge of Crewe’s box, Winchester’s effort was fumbled byt the keeper before the hosts managed to clear the danger.

No changes at the break.

Half-Time: Crewe 0 Sunderland 2

40’ It should be three

McGeady’s cross from the left fell perfectly for O’Brien at the back post but the latter hits the ball into the stands.

Still 2-0.
