Sunderland played out a goalless draw against Coventry City at the CBS Arena – but how did each player fare for Tony Mowbray’s side?
The hosts saw more of the ball in the first half, with Sunderland defending in numbers to keep their opponents at bay.
Both sides found more space after the interval, yet neither could find a breakthrough.
Here’s how Phil Smith rated the Sunderland players at the CBS Arena:

9. Jobe Bellingham - 7
Close on a couple of occasions to getting big chances, Ba’s crosses from the right just not quite finding the target. Really good work rate throughout, as was the case right through the team. 7 Photo: Frank Reid

10. Jack Clarke - 6
Got stronger as the game went on and was close at the end to making a matchwinning contribution with a couple of those trademark driving runs, but just didn’t quite happen on the day. 6 Photo: Chris Fryatt

11. Bradley Dack - 6
Is definitely getting up to speed. Some great touches, almost releasing Jobe with a lovely chipped pass and then Clarke with another clever, first-time lay-off. Feel he needs a striker to bounce off to show his best. 6 Photo: Chris Fryatt

12. Alex Pritchard (sub) - 6
Some excellent moments but similar to Neil, just couldn’t quite find that final ball. 6 Photo: Frank Reid
