Phil Parkinson will hold his pre-match press conference at the Academy of Light this afternoon.
McGeady was an unused substitute at Gillingham last weekend as Sunderland fell to their latest defeat of a flatlining season.
Parkinson has won just two of his twelve games in charge since replacing Jack Ross.
McGeady signed a contract extension last season after a stellar campaign, keeping him at the club until the end of next season.
His pre-season was significantly affected by injury but he is nevertheless the club's top scorer this term with six goals in all competitions.
