Sunderland drew 1-1 at AFC Wimbledon in Alex Neil’s first game in charge.

The visitors fell behind in the 19th minute when Jack Rudoni’s cross hit Callum Doyle’s arm and referee Simon Mather awarded a penalty.

Sunderland drew level 10 minutes before half-time when Alex Pritchard curled home another excellent free-kick, his second goal in as many games.

McCormick was then sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

Wimbledon are trying to play out from the back and put together a good move there.

It ended with Chislett shooting wide from the edge of the box.

The visitors are starting to dominate possession now.

They almost created a chance as Hume’s cross from the right was headed away by Nightingale.

The first real chance fell to the hosts after a short free-kick was clipped into the box by Brown.

Rudoni was unmarked at the back post but failed to hit the target.
