Sunderland ended their 48-year wait to win at Wembley after beating Tranmere Rovers to lift the Papa John’s trophy.

Lynden Gooch scored the only goal of the game despite Lee Johnson’s side coming under some late pressure which they managed to withstand.
Unfortunately there were no fans present to witness the occasion, but our photographer Frank Reid captured plenty of images throughout the day.
