All of these players could soon walk away as free agents, but who is in-line for a new deal with Sunderland? We take a look at all the players facing an uncertain future, and whether they are likely to be turning out for the Black Cats again next term:
9. Josh Scowen
Sunderland fans are yet to see the best of Scowen, whose first start came in what proved to be the club's final game of the campaign. While he's a player Parkinson would ideally look to keep, there will again be question marks over his salary. Some negotiation may be required. Photo: Frank Reid
10. Benji Kimpioka
The young striker was offered a contract late last year, but is yet to put pen to paper. He wants guarantees of first-team football and is understood to have attracted interest from the continent. Photo: Frank Reid
11. Jack Baldwin
Having spent the majority of the season on loan at Salford, Baldwin's days on Wearside look numbered. The club do have a clause in his contract that would allow the centre back to stay with the club for another year, but it would be a surprise if that was triggered. Photo: JPI Media
