Peterlee Sunday League: Easington HMS Victory go up in style, as Dawdon celebrate quadruple

They go up with Peterlee Catholic Club, with the pair level going into Sunday’s final fixtures.

Earlier, they beat Trimdon Colliery Royal Albion 6-2, with Bott (3) Price, Graham and Lewis Beeston netting. Paul Wilkinson hit both replies.

Bott also hit three in a 5-0 defeat of Hetton Social, with Graham and Dale Harker also notching.

Peterlee Catholic Club walloped Easington Southside 6-0, with Reece Brymer’s brilliant hat-trick supported by Christopher Wallace (2) and Paul Wintrip.

On Tuesday, Dave Paul (2) and Ashley Gillespie saw off Shotton Builders Warehouse 3-0.

Builders Warehouse crushed relegated FC Peterlee Moorcock 12-1, inspired by six-goal sub Bradley Beeston. Michael Boardman (3), Warren French, John Brown and Kyle Reay also scored.

Dawdon Welfare Park completed a quadruple in memorable fashion.

The Premier Division champions added the John & Pat McManus Memorial Cup to the Premier Division Cup and Tommy Burrell Cup when they handed out an 8-1 final defeat to Horden CW Supporters Club.

Five up at half-time, they were always in control, with four-goal Kyle Bell supported by strikes from Robbie Bird (2), Paul Atkinson and Liam Hodgson, with Robert Taylor responding.

In the Premier Division, Thornley Harrys Bar hit four goals, thanks to Kyle Middleton’s hat-trick and an effort from John Davies, against champions Dawdon Welfare Park.

But it was not enough to save them from being relegated back to the First Division after a season in the top flight.

Dawdon won a thriller 6-4, with four-goal Robbie Bird, Wes Smith and substitute Craig Price all on target.

The champions finish off this weekend at home to Peterlee Helford United, whose massively superior goal difference over Horden CW Supporters means that they will finish as runners-up.

Helford side outclassed Hetton The Tuns in all departments, running out 10-1 winners, with Gary Shaw netting seven times while Dave Laight notched a hat-trick.

Horden CW Supporters saw off Murton Park View 4-2, courtesy of Ricky Ramsey (2), Jonathan Pearson and James Connor. James Watson and Stephen Turner replied for View, who had Carl Thomas sent off.

Easington CIU ended their season on a winning note as two-goal Simon Todd and Rob Huntley secured a 3-1 success at Shotton Comrades, with Scott Danks replying. Dan Sanders starred for CIU, Lee Smith for Comrades.

In the Second Division, Wingate Plough Inn clinched promotion as runners-up when they hammered Peterlee Hearts 7-1.

Dave Cummings (2), Phil Quinn, Dan Gorton, Jamie Robinson, Joe Coulson and Jake Devine all notched.

Andy Johnston, Ryan Martin and Luke Stavers guided Seaham Marlborough home 3-1 at New Seaham Mallard, with Brennan Yuill replying.

Keeper Dale Shaw shone for Mallard.

Karl Arkwright (2) and Ben Roche earned Peterlee Oaklands a 3-1 win over Peterlee Central Club, with Anthony Cairns responding.
